JARC Operates 3 repeaters in the Jefferson / Orleans area. We have two linked repeaters at 444.000MHz +5.000 and 147.240MHz +.600 which provide UHF/VHF cross band operation. This also allows individuals that only own a UHF rig communicate with those who are running VHF. Both the VHF and UHF radios in this repeater operate on a CTCSS (PL) tone of 114.8Hz (2A PL). We also operate a VHF repeater on 145.370MHz -.600 also with a CTCSS (PL) tone of 114.8Hz (2A PL). Every Tuesday night at 9pm a net is held on this repeater. Be sure to tune in! All repeaters operate with the callsign W5GAD/R which is announced via speech synthesis or CW. All licensed amateur radio operators are allowed to use the repeater as long as it is done within the laws of amateur radio and more importantly...within the laws of mature conduct. |
