Great Equipment, Lasting Friendships and Nice Clubhouse

Founded in 1956, Jefferson ARC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our club comprises knowledgeable “Elmers” (experienced hams willing to help others), newcomers who are just learning and investigating, and everyone in-between.

Located just outside New Orleans at the Wally Pontiff Jr. Playground at 1521 Palm Street in Metairie, Louisiana, ours is one of only a few full-time clubhouses in South Louisiana with a permanent clubhouse and wide variety of transceivers and antennas for the use of our members. Learn more

Our club serves the Greater New Orleans amateur radip community bu offering camaraderie, equipment, contests, education workshops, and license testing from FCC-authorized Volunteer Examiners. We proudly support emergency organizations by providing email capabilities that don't require internet or cell service, teaching Boy and Girl Scouts interested in radio merit badges, and more.

Learn more about our educational workshops and upcoming events on our calendar and in our monthly newsletter. And we invite you to come by the clubhouse during our open houses, most Thursdays from 7-9PM and most Saturdays from 9AM to noon. Check our events calendar for details.
